The Opportunity

Germany's defence sector is in the middle of a generational spending expansion, and secure, sovereign communications sits right at the centre of it. An established satellite communications and IT solutions provider to the government and maritime markets is opening a newly prioritised Sales Manager role to grow its footprint with the German armed forces. This is an individual contributor seat from day one, with a genuine path to building and leading a team as the defence book grows.

The Impact You Will Have

• Own new business generation across Germany's defence and government sector, from first contact to signed contract
• Lead the hunt for and structuring of competitive bids into German armed forces procurement channels
• Build direct relationships with defence and government stakeholders who don't yet know this business
• Shape how a growing satcom and IT solutions provider positions itself in one of Europe's most strategically important defence markets
• Lay the groundwork for a future team, with real scope to move into leading it

What Success Looks Like

• A demonstrable track record of winning business in Germany's defence or government sector, not just managing it
• Comfort building a pipeline from scratch rather than working an inherited book
• Confidence navigating structured, multi-stakeholder defence procurement and bid processes
• Fluency in German and English, and credibility in front of both technical and senior military or civil service audiences
• A self-starting, entrepreneurial approach to territory that hasn't been fully built out yet
