SAP Basis Consultant – remote possible (m/f/x)

ELA Container GmbH – 1,600 employees, 18 locations worldwide, family‑run company based in Haren (Ems), Germany. We specialise in mobile room solutions and are growing fast.

Full‑time position.

Responsibilities

Ensure smooth operation, monitoring and performance optimisation of SAP systems.
Act as main contact and manage SAP support (ECS).
Administer, create and configure SAP clients.
Technically integrate additional modules and SAP functionalities into the landscape (S/4HANA & SAP Cloud solutions).
Coordinate external service providers and support projects.
Document all technical processes, system settings and operating information.
Set up systems/clients per project requirements (e.g. central job control, prerequisites on BTP for DMS connections, mail dispatch system).
Manage release and deployment, including installation, configuration, upgrades and patches.

Qualifications

Completed studies in (business) informatics, engineering or training as an IT specialist in IT administration or systems engineering.
At least 2–3 years of professional experience with SAP basic activities or consulting.
Experience in system integration and transport management.
Experience in data backup, system recovery and backup strategies within SAP.
Practical experience solving SAP‑specific problems (performance, crashes, authorisation).
Experience with installation and configuration of SAP systems (e.g. S/4HANA).
Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
Willingness to travel for project‑related meetings at headquarters in Haren (Ems) every two weeks.
