Job Summary

This role is for a senior technology architect with deep expertise in S4 HANA ABAP, SAP BTP, SAP CPI, PI, SAP Cloud ALM and SAP HANA Basis, responsible for designing scalable hybrid solutions that support complex enterprise processes and integrations while ensuring high performance, reliability and security across the landscape in a collaborative hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Design end to end solution architectures for S4 HANA landscapes combining ABAP enhancements, SAP BTP services and SAP HANA Basis configurations to meet complex enterprise requirements while maintaining scalability and resilience
• Develop robust integration designs using SAP CPI and PI to connect on premise and cloud systems ensuring secure, reliable and performant data exchange across business applications
• Optimize ABAP code and extension strategies in S4 HANA by guiding the use of clean core principles and side by side extensions on SAP BTP to reduce technical debt and simplify future upgrades
• Configure and refine SAP Cloud ALM based monitoring, alerting and lifecycle management processes to improve visibility into application health, performance trends and issue resolution efficiency
• Coordinate with cross functional technology and functional teams to translate business requirements into detailed technical designs covering interfaces, custom objects and runtime operations
• Review and govern middleware integration patterns for SAP CPI and PI including error handling, message mapping and security concepts to reduce incidents and improve data integrity
• Define standards and best practices for SAP HANA Basis operations including system sizing, performance tuning, transport management and backup strategies to ensure stable and secure environments
• Guide project teams in adopting SAP BTP capabilities such as extension development, workflow and integration services to modernize legacy solutions and enhance user experience for business stakeholders
• Analyze existing landscapes and propose modernization roadmaps that consolidate integrations, streamline customizations and leverage cloud native capabilities to lower operational risk and cost
• Collaborate with IT business support teams to diagnose complex production issues across S4 HANA, middleware, SAP BTP and HANA Basis layers and to drive sustainable corrective and preventive actions
• Prepare high quality technical documentation including architecture diagrams, interface catalogs and operational runbooks that help teams consistently implement and operate solutions
• Provide mentorship to developers and administrators on topics such as performance optimization, secure coding, integration design and SAP Cloud ALM adoption to uplift overall technical maturity
• Engage with stakeholders to align technology decisions with organizational goals demonstrating how robust SAP architectures improve business reliability, operational efficiency and customer outcomes

Qualifications

• Possess extensive experience in S4 HANA ABAP development including custom objects, enhancements, reports and performance optimization tailored for large scale enterprise environments
• Demonstrate strong hands on expertise in SAP BTP services for extension development, integration, security and lifecycle management to complement core S4 HANA capabilities
• Bring practical experience in configuring and managing SAP CPI and PI scenarios for various protocols and data formats with focus on reliability, monitoring and error resolution
• Show solid understanding of SAP HANA Basis including installation, upgrades, performance tuning, user administration, transport management and system troubleshooting in complex landscapes
• Apply knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM to design and operate effective monitoring, alerting, change management and deployment processes supporting end to end solution visibility
• Utilize experience in IT business support to collaborate with operations teams, analyze incident patterns and propose architectural improvements that enhance service stability and user satisfaction
• Communicate clearly with technical and non technical stakeholders by explaining architectural choices, tradeoffs and risk mitigation actions using concise and understandable language
• Adapt effectively to a hybrid work model by collaborating through digital tools, participating in distributed workshops and maintaining strong documentation practices to support global teams
• Commit to continuous learning of evolving SAP technologies, cloud patterns and security practices ensuring architectures remain current, secure and aligned with industry standards

Certifications Required

SAP Certified Development Specialist ABAP for SAP HANA or SAP Certified Technology Specialist SAP HANA plus SAP Integration Suite or SAP CPI certification preferred
