Scheduling Lead - Industrial, Science & Technology projects

Role Overview
The Lead Scheduler will provide advanced planning, scheduling, progress measurement and change management implementation. Must understand advanced planning and scheduling techniques, risk analysis, and support project objectives.
Responsibilities
- Analyze deviations from the baseline in the Project Master schedule highlighting bottlenecks and proposing corrective actions.
- Implement project planning and scheduling strategy, plans and procedures, reflecting company and contractor roles.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of WBS and CBS in conjunction with project leads and cost engineers.
- Support the Project Team in implementing an integrated enterprise‑based, cross‑functional EPC master schedule program.
- Prepare staffing, engineering, construction progress and customized reports.
- Perform critical‑path analysis.
- Perform probabilistic analysis on integrated schedules and contractor schedules.
- Conduct schedule analysis, critical‑path analysis and schedule risk analysis for the project.
- Prepare integrated planning/scheduling contribution to the monthly project report and specific presentations.
- Analyze and highlight overall schedule impact of any variance or change order.
- Prepare resourcing plans for overall and individual project phases, identifying excessive peak numbers and recommending peak leveling.
- Ensure schedule‑related data from vendors, suppliers, engineering and construction contractors is fed back into the planning system.
- Maintain the accuracy and completeness of schedules, providing independent advice on judgement issues.
- Balance multiple projects executed in multiple locations and by multiple contractors.
Qualifications
- Experience scheduling in all phases of the project lifecycle, including large complex construction projects; ideally in Life Science or Chemical sector, but also in Nuclear, O&G, Power, Industrial or Manufacturing.
- Expertise with MS Project, Primavera P6, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience coordinating multiple sources of schedule performance data into a master schedule platform and delivering status reports for large‑scale projects.
- Commitment to excellent service and reliability, working autonomously and in teams.
- Strong time‑management skills, quick thinking and ability to meet deadlines.
- Highly motivated, driven and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in German and English (strong verbal and written).
- Flexibility to travel; industrial, science and technology projects often located away from the office.
