Sea Freight Specialist

HRExec Recruitment Specialists are recruiting key talent for a highly entrepreneurial international supply chain logistics business

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end process, including all documentation
• Act as a Client liaison taking full ownership of communication with clients
• Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, transporters, and customs officials to ensure smooth cargo flow
• Monitor freight rates with relevant shipping lines and co-loaders
• Collaborate with internal departments, suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs agents to ensure smooth operations
• General Cargo and Project Cargo documentation
• Create and manage files in CargoWise ensuring accuracy and that data is captured timeously
• Track and monitor shipments, providing clients with regular status updates
• Verify and process invoices related to shipments
• Resolve operational issues promptly and effectively, ensuring minimal delays
• Maintain strong working relationships with clients, ensuring excellent service delivery

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in Logistics, specifically sea freight import or export
• Customs Clearance experience an advantage
• Airfreight experience an advantage
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of logistics
• Strong understanding of customs clearance processes and documentation
• Solid knowledge of Incoterms and international shipping practices
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
