Semicon Software Architect (m/f/w)

As a Semicon Software Architect, you shape state-of-the-art software for challenging high-tech semiconductor equipment. You work with customers to define architecture and translate needs into robust control software across hardware abstraction, domain, and user interfaces. You lead the development team within a Scrum environment, drive quality through peer reviews, and deliver fast, reliable software in a highly technical setting. This role offers impact at the intersection of software, electronics, and mechatronics in a pioneering field.

• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to define product architecture
• Analyze customer needs through software requirements engineering
• Design, implement, and test control software including hardware abstraction layer, devices, domain layer, application layer, and HMI
• Conduct peer reviews to ensure high quality and reliability
• Lead the development team and ensure team performance
• Operate within a Scrum team handling user stories across the full stack
• Develop functionality using agile practices emphasizing speed and quality

• 10+ years of experience in technical software development across different roles and environments
• Experience with OOP, OOAD, and with PC-based control systems, embedded controllers, or motion controllers
• Systems programming experience and prior team leadership
• Experience in the Semiconductor industry (wafer fabrication, assembly, test facilities) and understanding of SPC and FDC concepts
• Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and risk management skills
• Willingness to travel up to 10% worldwide
