Senior Account Executive – Financial Services (m/f/x)

Your Responsibilities End-to-End Sales Ownership

• Lead the complete sales cycle within the Financial Services sector, from lead generation and qualification through negotiation and successful deal closure
• Drive revenue growth across Cloudflight’s technology portfolio, including: Digital transformation consulting and technology strategy
• Discovery workshops and innovation initiatives
• Custom software development for banking, insurance, and financial platforms
• Cloud architecture, migration, and implementation services
• Data platforms, analytics, and master data management solutions
• AI and Machine Learning solutions, including intelligent automation, predictive analytics, NLP, computer vision, and agentic AI
• Software solutions for digital products, customer platforms, and embedded systems
• Develop and execute account strategies for financial institutions and enterprise clients
• Build long-term customer relationships and identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling across existing accounts

Business Development & Pipeline Generation

• Conduct targeted market research based on ideal customer profiles within Financial Services
• Identify and engage key decision-makers, including executives and technology leaders across banking, insurance, fintech, and related industries
• Generate and qualify new opportunities through multi-channel outreach, including calls, social selling, industry events, networking, and email campaigns
• Convert marketing-generated leads into qualified sales opportunities
• Drive revenue growth by building a strong pipeline aligned with business goals, leveraging strategic partnerships with Microsoft, Databricks, AWS, and other ecosystem partners to create co-sell opportunities and deliver industry-focused solutions.

Client Engagement & Solution Selling

• Understand complex business challenges faced by financial institutions, including digital transformation, regulatory requirements, customer experience optimization, data modernization, and automation
• Translate client needs into tailored technology solutions that deliver measurable business value
• Develop and deliver compelling, customer-specific presentations, proposals, and value propositions
• Act as a strategic advisor throughout the entire buying journey, engaging with both business and technology stakeholders
• Support clients in adopting innovative solutions across cloud, AI, data, and software engineering domains
• Manage and grow strategic customer accounts through targeted relationship development and expansion initiatives

Deal Execution & Collaboration

• Independently manage complex proposal processes, RFPs, and enterprise sales pursuits
• Build compelling business cases and coordinate internal teams to deliver winning solutions
• Collaborate closely with delivery teams, solution architects, project managers, and leadership to ensure successful customer engagements
• Contribute to revenue planning, forecasting, pipeline reviews, and sales reporting
• Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity tracking, and forecast data

What Will Make You Successful in This Role

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise solution sales, consultative sales, or technology sales, ideally within Financial Services
• Proven success managing complex, end-to-end sales cycles with enterprise customers and achieving revenue targets
• Experience selling technology consulting, digital transformation, cloud, data, AI, or software engineering solutions
• Strong understanding of the Financial Services industry, including banking, insurance, fintech, payments, or capital markets
• Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments involving business leaders, IT executives, procurement teams, and senior decision-makers
• Experience developing proposals, leading presentations, and winning competitive enterprise opportunities
• Strong pipeline management and forecasting skills using CRM platforms such as HubSpot or similar tools
• Solid understanding of emerging technologies, including Cloud, AI/ML, Data Platforms, Software Engineering, and Digital Platforms
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes and measurable value
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in German and English
