Rocket Software is seeking a highly motivated Sales professional to join our Mainframe Modernization sales team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting‑edge technologies and help our clients transform their legacy mainframe systems into modern, cloud‑based platforms. Key Responsibilities

  • Selling Rocket AMC Enterprise solutions and products to and through cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, and Microsoft, as well as alliance partners to CSPs, while working closely with consulting to ensure proper implementation.
  • Developing a long‑term sales pipeline to increase the company’s market share in specialized areas.
  • Working with new and existing customers to set the direction for business development and solution replication.
  • Developing and owning relationships with the Rocket client base and the wider ecosystem.
  • Maintaining strong knowledge of Rocket Enterprise software products and services, solution offerings, and competitor offerings.
  • Practicing consultative solution selling to align the client’s business needs with appropriate solutions.
  • Demonstrating in‑depth knowledge of the client’s business, organizational structure, business processes and financial structure.
  • Applying strategic planning skills to build effective business cases that reflect the value of a tailored strategy.
  • Partnering with license account teams to create account plans and strategies that drive incremental revenue.
  • Using Salesforce to forecast business accurately.
  • Selling a portfolio of infrastructure and application software that optimizes and modernizes enterprise systems.
  • Working closely with field marketing to develop prospects and events.
  • Leading sales campaigns with the extended team of Rocket sales engineers, marketing, and lab groups.
  • Ensuring best‑in‑class customer satisfaction and referenceability with our customers.
  • Meeting revenue targets and strategic objectives, including growing the sales pipeline and creating territory plans.
  • Negotiating pricing and contact terms with management.
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to customer business and IT leaders, aggressively shaping opportunities early in the sales cycle and advancing opportunities into profitable revenue growth.
  • Demonstrating breadth and depth of knowledge in aligning the company’s capabilities to business and IT priorities and positioning relative to competitors.
  • Advocating for customer needs throughout the sales cycle and addressing any delivery issues.
  • Researching and understanding each customer’s industry, strategies and challenges.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of mainframe technology and sales experience in mainframe modernization.
  • Eight or more years of solution software sales experience to Global 1000 clients.
  • Ability to adapt to situations, with impeccable honesty, integrity, and ethics.
  • Proactive problem‑solving with innovative perspectives.
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to articulate vision, influence others, plan, organize resources, and deliver results.
  • Independence and a track record of exceeding expectations.
  • Business acumen and experience navigating large, complex customers with a portfolio product line.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling in LATAM and understanding of the LATAM market.
  • Demonstrated history as a top performer selling software solutions to senior executives with quotas exceeding $2M and large transaction experience.
  • Hunter mentality with a proactive approach to creating and qualifying new opportunities and meeting customers in person weekly.
  • Experience with complex, multi‑year subscription and perpetual license sales.
  • Network of trusted relationships within the designated region.

Travel Requirements

50% of your time will be spent traveling to tradeshows and meeting with customers and clients.
