(Senior) AI Engineer - Data & AI Organisation (all genders, full-/part-time)

In this role you design and deliver enterprise-grade AI solutions, building reliable analytics pipelines and agentic workflows that integrate LLMs and predictive models. You work within cross-functional pods to enable business units with AI outputs via APIs and dashboards, while ensuring explainability, security, and scalability. You contribute to a data-driven culture, mentor peers, and explore new AI approaches to drive measurable impact. This position sits in the Data Science department, helping the organization unlock strategic value from data across enabling functions.

• Design and implement analytics pipelines and agentic workflows
• Integrate LLMs, predictive models, and multi-agent frameworks for scalable AI solutions
• Ensure model reliability, reproducibility, and enterprise-scale performance
• Embed explainability, transparency, and security into AI solutions
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists in agile PODs
• Support business teams via APIs, dashboards, and embedded analytics
• Mentor peers and contribute to AI literacy initiatives
• Experiment with new AI approaches and measure impact

• University degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in data science, data engineering, analytics, or visualization in a global org
• Experience with Finance, HR, or Procurement data and core business processes
• Excellent Python and SQL skills
• Strong ML, statistics, predictive modeling, and NLP foundations; hands-on with LLM-powered apps
• Familiarity with vector stores, reranking, and LLM observability tools (Langfuse, LangSmith)
• Experience with agentic engineering tools (Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, OpenCode)
• Experience with AWS, Palantir Foundry, Snowflake; Spark, Polars, DuckDB, dbt for data transformation
• MLOps & DevOps experience (MLflow, CI/CD, Docker)
• Up-to-date with AI trends; strong English communication; German a plus
