Senior Avionics Hardware Engineer (m/f/d)

In this role you own Spectrum’s Avionics Li-Ion Batteries within the AGNC Avionics Hardware team. You oversee interfaces across design, manufacturing, verification and integration, including testing and returns analysis. You support vehicle integration and maintain power system requirements. You’ll build automated qualification and acceptance testing infra for the power system and FTS components, and lead the battery testrig project. You operate in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary R&D environment with a strong hands-on mindset.

• Own the battery product lifecycle interfaces from design to manufacturing to verification and integration
• Perform unit-level tasks: design, qualification & acceptance testing, integration, and return analysis
• Support vehicle integration and testing on-site and on the launch pad
• Maintain and verify Power System requirements
• Build and maintain automated qualification & acceptance testing infrastructure for the Power System and FTS components
• Be the product owner of the battery testrig

• 5+ years with complex PCBs and Li-ion batteries
• Strong knowledge of circuit theory, electronics, signal processing and power electronics
• Extensive experience with E-CAD tools (Schematic & Layout Design), preferably Altium Designer
• Solid understanding of semiconductors and solid-state power controllers
• Excellent Li-Ion battery system technology knowledge and state-of-the-art cell chemistries
• Experience in Li-Ion battery pack design and relevant battery testing
• Hands-on mentality and can-do attitude
• Fluent in spoken and written English
