Senior Backend Engineer - Databases - Loki Query  | Germany | Remote

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will help shape the Databases stack (Loki, Mimir, Tempo, Pyroscope) for Grafana Cloud. You’ll design, build, and operate reliable, scalable services running on Kubernetes across major cloud providers, while contributing to open-source projects. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver features and improve telemetry data pipelines, prioritizing performance and availability. • Architect and implement features end-to-end from ideation to production
• Design, operate, and maintain critical telemetry systems with focus on reliability and performance
• Participate in on-call rotations and own running services

• Experience with at least one programming language (Go preferred; Python, C, C++, Rust acceptable)
• Track record delivering end-to-end software projects in a cloud or systems context
• Experience developing software for cloud environments or systems engineering
• Ability to write clean, robust, performant code maintainable by others
