Senior Business Management & Development Advisor

TenneT is growing to meet its strategic objectives: transforming energy supply and fostering the energy transition. This role is based at Lehrte/Hannover and involves managing central management support tasks, steering the offshore leadership team, liaising with stakeholders, and driving business projects in an offshore context.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for steering central management support tasks, preparing committee meetings, optimizing governance structures, and ensuring smooth operations.
• Act as a sparring partner for the offshore‑leadership team, serve as a bridge between the leadership team and relevant business partners, support the offshore strategy process, and keep implementation in view.
• Represent the area to external stakeholders such as the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) or shareholders and ensure clear, professional communication.
• Oversee the creation of performance reports, identify optimization potentials, actively drive improvements, and take on business projects independently.
• Work closely with the offshore director to understand the challenges of leading an offshore unit, including budget‑planning processes.

Qualifications

• Completion of a degree in energy engineering, business administration, or a comparable field, or equivalent qualification.
• Extensive experience (10+ years) in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders and actively living TenneT values at senior management level across cross‑functional collaboration and in complex business contexts.
• Several years of project management experience (e.g., IPMA Level C or an equivalent qualification).
• Ideally, industry knowledge in energy, technology, offshore projects or operations & maintenance.
• Excellent German and English language skills.
• Results‑oriented, structured, meticulous, proactive, with a high quality focus and strong analytical and strategic foresight, as well as excellent mental flexibility.

Additional Information

• Position is immediate.
• Weekly working hours: 37.
• Position is permanent.
• Regular travel commitment of approximately one day per month and regular presence at the Hannover site.
