Senior Chemist F/M/D

During your work as a Senior Chemist at aquila biolabs, you will i.a.

Responsibilities

• conceptualize new chemosensors and sensing methods,
• prototype these chemosensors in our labs,
• develop and optimize matrix formulations for chemosensors,
• develop, optimize and scale manufacturing processes and QC routines for chemosensors.

Required skills

• in-depth knowledge of organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, and surface chemistry,
• practical experience with polymer synthesis, purification, and characterization,
• practical experience with the development of functional materials, e.g. hydrogels, thin films, surface functionalization
• practical experience with standard preparative, analytical and safety lab equipment
• analytical and solution-oriented thinking and mindset,
• ability to work and learn autonomously and efficiently,
• ability and deep interest to work and perform research interdisciplinarily.

Education and qualifications

You should hold a scientific or engineering Master's or PhD degree, in the fields of organic and polymer chemistry. Persons from other fields with suitable skillset and strong chemical background are encouraged to apply for this vacancy too.
