Senior Cloud Software Engineer - Adobe Cloud Platform

Adobe Content Platform & Collaboration (ACPC) is the cloud foundation behind millions of people creating, storing, and collaborating on content every day.

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep cloud‑native systems experience to help evolve this globally distributed platform. You’ll work on backend services operating at significant scale, with a strong bar for reliability, security, and performance. You’ll join a collaborative team of six engineers based in Hamburg, working closely with colleagues in the US and India, contributing to capabilities used across Adobe products like Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, Firefly, and Express.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate our Java‑based Rendition Services
• Evolve scalable, secure, and reliable capabilities using modern cloud and distributed systems practices
• Improve system performance, resilience, and operability across multiple cloud regions
• Partner closely with teams building on top of our services

Must‑have

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, backend or platform focus
• Strong Java skills and a solid understanding of distributed, event‑driven systems
• Professional working proficiency in both German and English
• Curiosity about AI‑assisted development tools

Nice‑to‑have

• Hands‑on experience with cloud‑native services (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience diagnosing and resolving issues in large‑scale production systems
