Senior Data & AI Investment Manager | €5bn+ AUM Private Equity Firm

About Our Client

Our client is a €5B AUM private equity firm known for its disciplined investment approach and growing commitment to embedding data science and AI across its portfolio and investment processes. They are seeking a Senior Data & AI Investment Manager to lead a team at the intersection of investment strategy and applied AI.

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of investment professionals and data specialists, setting priorities and ensuring high-quality execution across deal cycles
• Source, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities, with a particular focus on data-driven and AI-enabled businesses
• Own end-to-end deal processes: market mapping, due diligence, financial modelling, valuation, and investment committee presentations
• Apply data science and AI/ML techniques to enhance deal sourcing, diligence, and portfolio monitoring (e.g. predictive analytics, NLP-driven market scanning, automated screening tools)
• Partner with portfolio company leadership to identify and implement AI-native operating initiatives that drive value creation
• Champion the firm's broader AI transformation agenda, working closely with internal data/tech teams to build scalable tools and infrastructure
• Develop and maintain investment theses informed by quantitative data analysis and emerging AI trends
• Present investment recommendations and portfolio performance updates to senior leadership and the investment committee
• Stay ahead of AI/data science developments relevant to private markets and translate them into practical firm applications

Key Skills Required:

• 6+ years of experience in private equity, growth equity, or a related investment role, with demonstrated deal leadership
• Strong track record of managing or mentoring junior team members
• Hands-on proficiency with data science/AI tools and methodologies (Python, SQL, ML frameworks, or similar) and the ability to apply them to investment workflows
• Excellent financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence skills
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI's application in investment processes and business transformation, with the credibility to lead conversations with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong commercial judgment and ability to synthesize complex data into clear investment narratives
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging with C-suite executives and investment committees
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, or relevant quantitative/technical degree (e.g. Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering) a strong plus
