Kraken Robotics is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Rostock, Germany location.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Development and design of electronic assemblies with a focus on PCB design and circuit board development
• Creation of schematics, PCB layouts, manufacturing data, bill of materials, and technical documentation in collaboration with the development team
• Re-engineering and optimization of existing circuit boards, electronic assemblies, and circuits
• Selection and evaluation of electronic components, taking into account function, manufacturability, and cost
• Conducting and supporting electrical testing, commissioning, and failure analysis on assemblies and prototypes
• Technical coordination with production, development, and customer service regarding product-specific issues
• Ensuring development complies with relevant norms, standards, and design guidelines
• Documenting development status, changes, and technical decisions

Qualifications and Experience:

• Practical experience in PCB design and the development of printed circuit boards
• Knowledge of schematic design, layout development, and electronic circuits
• Experience with CAD/EDA tools for PCB development is a plus
• Basic knowledge of electrical testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electronic assemblies
• Understanding of electronic assembly manufacturing processes and DFM/DFT considerations
• German and English at least at the B2 level
• Structured, solution-oriented, and team-oriented approach to work
