The Senior Expert, Internal Audit (m/f/d) plays a critical role in independently evaluating the organization's internal controls, risk management processes, and compliance with established policies and regulations. The person contributes significantly to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of internal audit practices, while providing valuable insights to support informed decision-making.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Lead and execute complex audits across operational, project, financial, and compliance areas, assessing governance, risks, controls, and process effectiveness.
• Identify and evaluate emerging risks, partnering with stakeholders to develop practical recommendations that strengthen controls and governance.
• Prepare and present impactful audit reports for senior management, translating complex findings into clear, actionable insights.
• Drive process and control improvements, enhancing operational efficiency and supporting the continuous development of the Internal Control System (ICS).
• Act as a trusted advisor and mentor, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the implementation of best practices across the organization.

Show your expertise

• Master’s degree in a relevant field with a professional certification (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA, CFE).
• 12+ years of internal audit experience, including leading complex audits and managing audit teams.
• Expert knowledge of audit methodologies, risk management, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and audit technologies.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and assess complex risks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leadership and influencing decision-making.
• Strategic, proactive leader with a track record of mentoring teams, driving collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
