Senior Financial Analyst, Accounting, EMEA CAPEX Accounting

As a Senior Financial Analyst in Munich, you will be a key contributor to the Accounting team, driving international coordination, scalable processes, and robust financial controls. You work closely with cross-functional groups to support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings while applying GAAP frameworks. You’ll shape accounting improvements and enable data-driven decisions in a dynamic, growth-focused environment. This role offers exposure to global finance projects and a chance to impact the company’s financial performance and efficiency.

• Own and contribute to national and international accounting projects
• Partner with the Amazon group for financial insights and decision support
• Develop and manage scalable, automated processes
• Coordinate with global Accounting organization across regions
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing of books
• Assess GAAP-to-GAAP differences and impact
• Support improvements in accounting processes, workflows, and best practices

• Bachelor in finance, accounting or related field or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of one or multiple GAAP frameworks (US GAAP, IFRS, local GAAP) and ability to apply them
• Fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading)
• Experience supporting month-end closing and financial reporting procedures
• Experience contributing to audits or controls over financial reporting
• Experience using financial models, KPIs, and data analysis for business decisions
• Knowledge of SOX methodology and related standards
