Senior Firmware Developer

In this Senior Firmware Developer role, you will craft and optimize the edge of Arm’s automotive compute subsystems, delivering production-grade firmware and device drivers. You’ll work closely with technical leads and architects to integrate across our software stack and demonstrate platform capabilities. Expect hands-on development with a focus on low-level performance, reliability, and safety-critical components. This role blends hardware and system software, offering meaningful impact in scalable, automotive-grade solutions. • Hands-on design, implementation, debugging and integration of the software stack with production-grade quality
• Develop core firmware and device drivers for automotive compute subsystems
• Write, review, and maintain robust C/assembly/Yocto code across firmware and low-level components
• Analyze and optimize CPU, GPU, I/O, and memory usage in system components
• Plan and prioritize engineering work with project management and tech leads
• Mentor engineers and uphold high code quality and maintainability standards

• 5+ years hands-on firmware and driver development
• Recent coding experience at OS kernel or bare-metal level
• Strong C and Assembly skills; deep low-level compute expertise
• Proven track record delivering core features, drivers, or low-level components
• Knowledge of Arm architectures; familiarity with Arm Trusted Firmware preferred
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, EE, or related field
