Senior Full-Stack Engineer – Node.js, Svelte, React

Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex frontend and backend features
Build scalable, maintainable applications using TypeScript across client and server
Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and server-side applications using Node.js and modern TypeScript frameworks
Build modern, responsive user interfaces using Svelte/SvelteKit or comparable technologies
Design and maintain relational database schemas, migrations, and performance-focused queries
Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Participate in architecture discussions, technical design decisions, and engineering standards and best practices
Develop automated tests and contribute to application code quality and testing strategies
Build and maintain CI/CD workflows and use Docker for consistent local and development environments
Work with AWS cloud services and serverless architectures to deploy and operate production applications
Research and evaluate technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve engineering productivity and product quality
Use AI-assisted development tools for planning, coding, testing, debugging, and other engineering workflows
Collaborate directly with clients through regular meetings, technical discussions, and product demonstrations
Participate in daily standups and bi-weekly sprint cycles within a small, autonomous engineering team

Requirements

5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience
Expert-level proficiency with TypeScript, including advanced language features and complex type definitions
Strong experience with server-side TypeScript and Node.js, including developing and consuming RESTful APIs
Strong experience with Svelte, SvelteKit, React, Next.js, or a similar modern frontend framework
Experience with relational databases and SQL, including schema design, migrations, and query optimization
Strong understanding of software testing, code quality, and maintainable development practices
Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and Docker-based development workflows
Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and experience deploying or supporting cloud-based applications
Experience contributing to architecture and technical design decisions for production applications
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work directly with clients and translate business requirements into technical solutions
Ability to work effectively and independently in a small, collaborative engineering team
Demonstrated practical experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools
Ability to clearly articulate the current capabilities and limitations of AI tools in software engineering, including accuracy, security, reliability, and responsible use
