Senior IT System Administrator – Infrastructure & Security

• Plan and optimize the IT system landscape with a focus on stability, scalability and security
• Implement technical solutions in the areas of server, storage and network infrastructure as well as related applications
• Develop IT security strategies, including risk management and associated documentation
• Monitor day-to-day operations and take responsibility for maintenance processes and system availability
• Analyze incidents and evaluate results from monitoring and anomaly detection systems
• Continuously research, assess and integrate new technologies into the existing system landscape as part of projects

Requirements

• Degree in (business) computer science or an equivalent qualification
• Alternatively: vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration (Fachinformatiker Systemintegration) with relevant professional experience
• At least 5 years' experience in designing and operating complex IT infrastructures
• Strong knowledge in designing, implementing and optimizing: server, network and storage infrastructures; Active Directory; IT security solutions; monitoring, backup and disaster-recovery systems
• Excellent understanding of IT infrastructures with a focus on Windows-based systems and networking technologies
• Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V or similar)
• Ability to proactively develop IT infrastructures, identify vulnerabilities and implement automations
• Ideally, knowledge of relevant standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, IT-Grundschutz / IT Baseline Protection)
• Independent, structured working style and a high level of personal responsibility
• Strong preventive mindset in IT security and experience in risk management
