Senior Legal Counsel, Germany

Position Overview

We are looking for a passionate Legal Counsel responsible for our European Automotive Business Line in a highly dynamic and international environment. The position will be based in Munich (Germany).

You will support the automotive business of Xiaomi with your proven expertise and pragmatic, business oriented and pro‑active advice.

The position will be the first of its kind in Europe dedicated to Xiaomi's Automotive Business Line. Therefore, we are looking for an experienced generalist who has rich experience in the automotive industry (preferably OEM). The ideal candidate may develop into a team leader role managing additional Legal Counsel across Europe supporting Xiaomi's European Automotive Business Line.

Key Responsibilities

1. Legal Advice and Research on Laws and Regulations.
2. Draft, Review and Negotiate a wide variety of national and international contracts.
3. Drafting of Guidelines, Policies and Templates.
4. Review of Marketing Material and Marketing Campaigns.
5. Communication with Regulatory Authorities.
6. Coordination of disputes and claims, including managing external counsels.
7. Support and advice to the finance, tax, sales and HR department.
8. Liaise with the HQ Legal Team.

Candidate Profile

1. German Bar Exam (Second State Examination).
2. Minimum 4 years of experience gained as an in‑house lawyer in the automotive industry.
3. Full proficiency in German and English.
4. Strong commercial sense and pragmatism.
5. Being able to prioritize and handle tight deadlines.
