Senior Manager, Data Science (m/f/d)

In this role you lead and grow the Data Science function at Redcare Pharmacy, driving high-impact AI and data products. You partner with product teams to shape demand forecasting, replenishment, and retail media initiatives, ensuring robust data-science practices and measurable impact. You balance hands-on technical work with people leadership to build a high-performing, inclusive team. You help advance experimentation and data-driven decision making across Data & AI, guiding product decisions and technical standards. Your work supports scalable, reliable solutions that align with the company’s product goals and operational needs.

• Lead, develop and enable a growing Data Science team, defining priorities and supporting professional development
• Act as hands-on technical sparring partner on data science, ML, and model evaluation
• Strengthen experimentation and measurement practices across Data & AI, advising on A/B testing, metrics, and power analyses
• Collaborate with Data & AI leaders to align priorities and raise technical standards
• Contribute to team growth through hiring and onboarding, with opportunities to expand the DS function

• Several years of applied data science and machine learning experience, including production delivery
• Proven people management experience and ability to mentor varied seniority levels
• Experience with experimentation, A/B testing, causal measurement, or power analysis
• Strategic yet hands-on approach with credibility in modeling, evaluation, data quality and ML practices
• Strong skills in Python, SQL, statistical modeling, and large-scale data processing
• Comfort working in a cross-functional product environment with Product, Tech Leads, Engineers, and other DS leaders
• Excellent English communication; German a plus but not required
• Experience with demand forecasting, replenishment, retail, sponsored ads, e-commerce or similar DS products is a plus
