We operate in one of the fastest-growing segments of FMCG-pet food- and we are proud to be Europe’s leading company within the natural premium segment. Our headquarters are in Stockholm and Düsseldorf, and we currently have 850+ employees spread across Europe. We generate 250+ million EUR in turnover with strong profitability and are owned by the Nordic private equity company Axcel.
At The Nutriment Company, we have a highly motivated, ambitious, and fun team that aspires to take our company to the next level, as we expand rapidly through organic growth and acquisitions across Europe.
Role description
We are looking for a senior Ecommerce Manager to take full ownership of the commercial performance and day-to-day operations of our direct-to-consumer online channels across a growing portfolio of pet nutrition brands. This is a broad, high-ownership role that sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, platform management, and customer experience — with a strong emphasis on driving revenue growth and margin improvement across our brand websites.
You will work closely with the Head of Ecommerce and collaborate with internal brand and customer support teams, the performance marketing function, and external agencies to ensure our online stores are commercially optimized, technically sound, and continuously improving. As we expand into new EU markets and integrate acquired brands, you will play a central role in making sure our ecommerce foundations scale with us.
Responsibilities
Commercial Ownership & P&L
- Own the revenue and margin performance of the DTC webshops across assigned brands and markets, with clear accountability for key ecommerce KPIs (revenue, conversion rate, AOV, revenue, contribution margin)
- Monitor and analyze performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks — translating insights into concrete action plans
- Manage and optimize promotional calendars, pricing strategies, and bundling or upsell mechanics in alignment with brand and commercial goals
- Contribute to the ecommerce budget planning process and maintain a clear view of channel-level profitability
Platform & Technology Management
- Own the day-to-day management of ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Shopware or similar), ensuring reliability, performance, and a best-in-class user experience
- Lead or coordinate website development projects, including new market launches, brand integrations post-acquisition, and platform improvements — working with developers and technical agencies
- Oversee app and tech stack evaluation, onboarding, and management, ensuring tools are well-integrated and adding measurable value
- Ensure proper tracking infrastructure is in place in coordination with the performance marketing agencies, and elevate technical issues proactively
Content & Merchandising
- Own the webshops’ merchandising strategy - including category structure, product display, search, and navigation - to maximize discoverability and conversion
- Manage the content calendar and coordinate with brand and creative teams to ensure product pages, landing pages, and campaign assets are accurate, on-brand, and optimized for conversion
- Oversee SEO-driven content requirements on the webshop in coordination with agency partners or internal SEO resources
- Ensure consistent and high-quality product data across all markets, including translations, imagery, and compliance-relevant content
Agency & Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with external agencies (web development, CRO, content, SEA/SEO) - briefing, reviewing output, and holding them accountable to results
- Act as the ecommerce representative in cross-functional projects, aligning with performance marketing, CRM, logistics, and brand teams
- Support the onboarding of newly acquired brands onto existing platforms and processes, ensuring minimal disruption and fast time-to-market
Qualifications, Must-Have
- 5+ years of hands-on ecommerce experience within a DTC , preferably multi-brand environment
- Proven commercial ownership - comfortable working with P&L data, margin metrics, and revenue targets
- Strong platform management experience, preferably with Shopify or a comparable ecommerce platform
- Solid understanding of on-site merchandising, CRO principles, and UX best practices
- Experience briefing and managing external agencies and holding them to clearly defined KPIs
- Data-driven mindset with confidence in GA4, ecommerce dashboards, and Excel/Sheets
- Fluent in English & German; additional EU languages are a strong advantage
Great if you also bring in
- Experience managing multi-market and multi-brand ecommerce operations
- Familiarity with subscription commerce or auto-replenishment models
- Exposure to post-acquisition brand integrations or platform migrations
- Background or genuine interest in pet care
- Experience in a PE-backed or high-growth scale-up setting
What This Role Offers
- Full commercial ownership of a meaningful, fast-growing DTC channel
- Exposure to a complex, multi-brand portfolio across multiple EU markets
- A dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where your impact is visible and measurable
- Room to grow as the ecommerce function scales and the team expands
