Permanent contract, full or part‑time, remote or Cologne / Darmstadt / Düsseldorf / Berlin.

Responsibilities

• You act not just as a tool provider, but as a proactive partner to development teams, identifying user needs and priorities and delivering value‑driven solutions that improve team efficiency.
• Your team takes responsibility for critical platform services such as GitLab, Vault, and Datadog, ensuring they are up‑to‑date and secure.
• Your mission is to make the use of our platform as simple and seamless as possible for developers – for example, delivering Backstage as a single point of entry.
• You actively contribute to custom feature implementation in Go and TypeScript based on user needs.
• By making systems observable and providing clear guidelines and training, you enable platform and product teams to make confident, fast decisions and reduce Mean Time To Detect (MTTD).

Qualifications

• Great experience in application development (Go, TypeScript is a plus) and understanding of distributed systems design.
• Ability to build qualitative, maintainable software and support development teams by reviewing their code.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure components (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Kubernetes) and CI/CD flows, with ability to maintain and upgrade critical system components.
• Preference for simple, high‑impact solutions, avoiding overengineering, and delivering tailored increments that meet real developer needs.
• Comfort with AI‑driven development and modern AI tools to increase efficiency within a fast‑paced environment.
• Fluency in English (C1) and enjoyment of working in an international environment.
