Senior Principal Product Manager Post-Purchase Engagement (all genders)

THE ROLE & THE TEAM

Our Transactions & Post-Order Experience team provides and optimizes the Cart, Checkout, Order management and Returns experiences; driving transactions and engagement. We enable partner teams with our platform services. We enable agentic shopping experiences. We discover, detect, assess and steer decisions for risks stemming from bad actors. We provide the product and platform for Gift Cards.

As a Senior Principal Product Manager in the Zalando Transactions team, with a focus on post-purchase engagement, you will define the product vision for our post-purchase experience across Apps & Web, executing against that product vision by building new and improved experiences at scale for 52+ million customers in an area at the very core of Zalando's value proposition. The scope of this product area covers all customer interactions, beginning the instant an order is placed, the support a customer needs and extends through the return process, right up until the customer is prepared to make a repeat purchase or recommend Zalando.

WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

• Significant exposure in planning and deploying technical products at scale or equivalent product leadership experience.
• Enable high impact execution and delivery by navigating complex trade-offs and using data-informed frameworks to move from concept to reality.
• Apply state-of-the-art AI-enabled product craft by working backwards from a target experience to build seamless, high-quality features for our customers.
• Spearhead and strategise: set a clear vision, smart roadmap and ambitious targets, and relentlessly drive towards those.
• Identify new product opportunities with a customer-centric mindset, select the right solutions to focus on by making business savvy decisions and then move fast to successfully execute on your ideas.
• Applying repeatable best practice product methodologies in cross-functional teams incorporating working backwards from the customer, problem discovery, defining & designing solutions, and delivering agreed outcomes.
• Be a mentor to other colleagues by showcasing deep expertise in your domain and acting as a role model for successful product management.
• Maximize commercial value by defining KPI frameworks and running rapid experiments to shape a roadmap based on real-world insights.
• Ability to utilize AI technologies for prototyping, data understanding, and to unblock decision making.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF YOU BRING

• Product methods & tools: you have a strong track record of envisioning, developing, and building successful platform and capability products, ideally in an online service marketplace or e-commerce environment. You are able to contribute to and explain a product strategy for your area.
• Customer mindset: you have the ability to understand customer needs and turn them into remarkable products. You are experienced in conducting insights with user research and product discovery to provide the voice of the customer, creating the right stories that give our users what they need (and not just what they want).
• Multiple domains: you have experience in working closely with cross functional teams in Design, Engineering, and Data Science.
