As a Senior Product Manager – Propylene (m/f/d) within our Base Chemical Solutions Europe (BCS 3) team, you will be part of a motivated and experienced team which operates in an international context within the European region.

Key Responsibilities

• With your team BCS 3 and our supply chain teams, you will drive the expansion of procurement and marketing activities in Europe
• Modelling and monitoring the purchasing and sales activities as well as gathering market intelligence
• Managing individual accounts that are almost entirely major players from the chemical and energy industry in Europe
• Deciding on short and medium-term strategies including pricing, swaps and tolling
• Acting as a networker, observing market developments and trends, and aligning purchasing and sales decisions accordingly
• Supporting the budgeting and strategy development process by preparing market and product specific analyses
• Supporting colleagues from Supply Chain Operations Management in the scheduling of purchases and sales and the optimization of our international value chains
• Actively participating in the implementation of HELM's sustainability strategy (decarbonization, circular economies & biobased chemicals)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or comparable apprenticeship, with experience in trading, procurement, marketing, or sales – preferably in the chemical industry
• Knowledge in negotiating purchase or sales contracts
• Proven capability to understand the resulting risks and opportunities from a portfolio of contracts
• Flexibility to adapt to a changing environment
• Reliable and trustworthy partner recognized by stakeholders; entrepreneurial mindset and ability to make fast decisions
• Approach to existing and new business contacts with an open mind; team-oriented, responsible, and resilient personality
• Professional English essential; familiarity with common IT applications (MS Office, Salesforce, SAP S4)
