In this role you drive regulatory interpretation and product alignment for smart metering and distributed energy resource steering. You will be the go-to expert for regulatory developments and ensure Heartbeat AI and hardware meet compliance and performance standards. You translate regulatory rules into actionable product requirements and coordinate hardware rollouts across customer segments. You work cross-functionally with product, hardware, and field teams to enable scalable, compliant energy solutions. This position offers impact by shaping how regulatory frameworks enable a real‑time, automated energy system at scale.

- Act as primary contact for regulatory developments (e.g., §14a EnWG, §9 EEG, §21 EnWG, §118 Abs. 6 EnWG)
- Define and prioritise development requirements to ensure regulatory compliance and performance
- Coordinate testing and lab capacities; drive rollout of intelligent metering systems
- Manage relationships with external service providers, DSOs, and metering point operators
- Lead cross-functional steering initiatives; define KPIs and derive optimizations from data and feedback
- Monitor regulatory changes and engage with industry stakeholders to influence future rules
- 3+ years in the energy sector with focus on metering/steering
- Strong project management skills across internal and external stakeholders
- Analytical and data-driven with KPI definition experience
- Proactive, entrepreneurial, able to navigate regulatory uncertainty
- Excellent written and spoken German and English (German essential)
- Solid knowledge of §14a EnWG and related grid control rules; familiarity with Marktkommunikationsprozesse and smart metering infrastructure
- Experience coordinating hardware testing or certification processes (e.g., §14a Steuerboxen) is a plus
