Senior Property Underwriter

Responsibilities

• Independently manage and underwrite complex property insurance risks
• Assess, price and control risks to ensure profitable growth
• Analyze and manage exposure, accumulation and natural catastrophe risks
• Build and maintain sustainable relationships with brokers, clients and internal stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as well as underwriting, governance and ESG standards
• Contribute to the development of underwriting strategies, products and processes

Requirements

• Several years of experience in property underwriting for commercial or industrial risks
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment, coverage analysis and portfolio management
• Proven track record in profitably and sustainably managing insurance portfolios
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills
• Analytical, data-driven approach to underwriting decisions
• Business-fluent German and English (required)
