As our (Senior) Purchasing Manager / Strategic Buyer you will take full ownership of a defined supplier portfolio or category, ensuring seamless execution within our purchasing process while actively contributing to inventory optimization and operational excellence.
Design and implement a clear category structure across all spend, identifying key leverage areas, critical dependencies, and bottleneck categories.
Take ownership of critical initiatives such as the Raw Material Replacement project - a highly visible, cross-functional program requiring strong stakeholder alignment across procurement, R&D, Quality, Finance and Operations.
Build transparency across our procurement landscape by structuring and analyzing spend data, enabling better decisions, prioritization, and negotiation strategies.
Introduce structured risk frameworks across suppliers and categories, integrating quality and supply risk to strengthen long-term resilience.
Identify and execute COGS reduction opportunities through deep data analysis, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) thinking, and targeted supplier negotiations.
Further develop and refine procurement processes (e.g. P2P workflows, SOPs), ensuring scalability, clarity, and high adoption across the team.
5+ years of experience in strategic procurement, category management, or supply chain - ideally in FMCG, food or pharma. Experience in supplements would be highly valuable, but we also welcome candidates from similar industries with comparable complexity.
You are highly data-driven and comfortable working with large datasets. You know how to translate data into insights, priorities, and concrete actions.
Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders - from structuring the problem to driving execution.
You understand how procurement creates value beyond cost - through structure, transparency, and long-term supplier strategies.
You are confident working across functions such as R&D, quality, operations, and leadership - aligning different interests and driving decisions forward.
You think in systems and processes, and know how to refine and scale existing structures without overengineering.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Odoo/MRP), and analytical tools such as Tableau or similar BI tools.

Sunday Natural emerged from a long-standing passion and research in the fields of health, healing, and personal growth. The lack of natural, high-quality products on the market was the original motivation for founding Sunday Natural in 2013. We aim to produce the products we ourselves would love to buy - as natural as possible, absolutely pure, free from any additives, and of the highest quality.
In a strategic partnership with CVC, Sunday Natural is now one of Germany's most renowned quality manufacturers, with its own research and development department in Berlin. For the continuous improvement of our products, we collaborate with selected research institutes, scientists, therapists, farmers, and professional associations. We take our ecological responsibility very seriously: that’s why the majority of our product range is vegan. We also take an innovative approach to packaging: most of our products are packaged in glass, making them almost entirely recyclable.
Our diverse team in Berlin consists of over 400 employees from more than 45 nationalities and continues to grow - but at a sustainable pace. Our goal is to foster a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive work environment with a diverse group of motivated, talented, and visionary team members.
We highly value equality of opportunity and inclusivity, and we would like to particularly encourage women and candidates from under-represented backgrounds to apply, even if you don't match with 100% of the requirements.
