Senior Quantity Surveyor & Program Manager (f/m/d) Rail Electrification

Overview

In this role you strengthen commercial protection for international rail electrification projects by establishing practical standards, methodologies, and tools. You’ll build a scalable framework to identify, assess, and manage risks, opportunities, changes, and claims across the project lifecycle. You will design training and promote digital, AI-enabled ways of working to support sustainable organizational growth. You’ll safeguard commercial interests and ensure robust documentation to enable sound decisions. You’ll liaise with cross-functional teams to manage financial impacts from changes and delays, contributing to Siemens Mobility’s mission to advance sustainable mobility.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Improve commercial protection on international rail electrification projects by creating standards, methodologies, and tools
  • Develop a scalable framework to identify and manage contractual risks, opportunities, changes, and claims throughout the project lifecycle
  • Design and roll out training programs; facilitate knowledge sharing and lessons learned
  • Drive adoption of digital and AI-enabled ways of working to support organizational development
  • Safeguard commercial interests and provide transparency on risks and opportunities; protect contractual positions
  • Establish robust documentation practices and support sound commercial decision-making
  • Assess financial impacts of schedule extensions, delays, disruptions, and productivity losses
  • Collaborate with Project Management, CPM, Bid Management, Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Legal with clear interfaces
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • University degree in Law, Business Law, Business Administration, Commercial Engineering, Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering
  • Additional qualifications in commercial project management, construction contract law, or international project business (advantage)
  • Extensive experience in complex international EPC or infrastructure projects
  • Experience preparing, negotiating, defending, or resolving significant commercial claims
  • Experience establishing standards, processes, templates, or training for international project organizations
  • Strong knowledge of international contract models and standards (FIDIC, NEC, EPC contracts) and liability regimes
  • Familiarity with dispute resolution procedures
  • Experience assessing schedule extensions, delays, disruptions, and productivity losses (e.g., Time Impact Analysis, Windows Analysis, CPM)
  • Entrepreneurial thinking with sound commercial judgment; ability to present complex matters clearly to varied stakeholders
  • Fluent in English; additional languages and international project experience are a plus
