Senior Sales Manager (d/f/m) Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD) Germany
The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for conducting sales campaigns within the Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD) domain in Germany to achieve profitable deals and maintain a competitive market position. The role reinforces Airbus Defense Digital’s footprint within the German Air Force & Ministry of Defence and continuously engages with industrial partners and associations.
Location
The role is located at one of our German sites (Ottobrunn, Ulm, Friedrichshafen), reporting to the Head of Sales Germany & International for Defence Digital.

Tasks and Responsibilities
- Campaign Leadership: Design and implement sales strategies for IAMD campaigns in close alignment with Regional Sales and relevant program leads.
- Commercial Management: Own the commercial aspects of transactions, including cost/risk/benefit evaluations and leading commercial negotiations using deep market and competitor intelligence.
- Order Intake: Ensure the realization of planned order intake according to the division’s technical and economic objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Reinforce the Defence Digital footprint within the German Air Force & MoD, engaging continuously with industrial partners and associations.
- Compliance & Values: Sustain Airbus values by ensuring strict adherence to Ethics & Compliance and Export Control rules at all times.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, or previous military career.
- Pre‑existing experience network with German Air Force & defence ecosystem and strong knowledge of IAMD market. Previous programme experience is a must.
- Proven ability to manage complex commercial transactions and strategic negotiations.
- Ability to obtain a NATO security clearance (or already possessing one).
- Proficiency in English with excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Deep commitment to acting with integrity and managing potential compliance risks as a foundation for company success.
