Senior Software Developer – Full Stack, Java/JEE

Develop applications and capabilities based on specified requirements.

Implement scalable software solutions using Java/JEE for government clients.

Analyze business requirements to provide feedback and estimate effort.

Design, code, test, debug and document programs following agile development practices.

Support projects and customers on site as needed; business travel worldwide is desirable.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BA) or higher in a science or technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development with Java/JEE in a comparable role, including development of distributed systems and web-based applications.
• Strong proficiency in Java/JEE.
• Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and perform under pressure in a dynamic, complex environment.
• Desirable Java certifications: Oracle Certified Master (Java SE Developer, Java EE Enterprise Architect), Oracle Certified Expert (Enterprise JavaBeans Developer, Web Services Developer), Oracle Certified Professional (Java SE Programmer).
• Desirable: experience with Red Hat WildFly/EAP, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, Eclipse; interest in AI and/or biometrics; experience with DevOps practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• German language skills are desirable.
