Senior Specialist, IRIS2 & meoSphere Procurement

Overview

In this role you will support the sourcing of products and services for the IRIS2 and SES meoSphere programs, aligning with Global Procurement guidelines. You will collaborate with global stakeholders, identify cost-competitive options, and manage supplier relationships to maximize value. You will guide end-to-end sourcing activities, from vendor scouting to tendering, ensuring compliance and timely delivery. This position offers a pathway to shape critical EU satellite programs through strategic procurement and contract execution.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Prepare and execute RFI/RFP processes to select subcontractors for IRIS2 and SES meoSphere programmes
Ensure SES Global Procurement compliance with policies and procedures
Understand programme requirements and constraints for procurement of products and services
Identify requirements and work packages involving vendors/subcontractors
Collaborate with management on contract negotiations (T&Cs, new contracts)
Support vendor onboarding activities
Analyse vendor base to identify potential suppliers and eligibility
Draft and prepare documentation for EC/ESA under the IRIS2 frame
Coordinate cross-functional negotiation teams and align with legal when contracting
Monitor major procurement milestones and ensure contract compliance
Work with Global Procurement to leverage opportunities and maximize value
Support process/system development for cost reduction

Zentrale Anforderungen

Proven experience in procurement of Software, Hardware, and Professional Services
Minimum five years’ experience in a similar procurement role
Experience on large projects and understanding contracts
Experience in public procurement processes (EC and ESA) is an asset
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Strong negotiations and communication skills
Self-motivated with ability to work independently
