The Opportunity
As Senior Strategic Communications Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping how the world sees and talks about our company. This is first and foremost a communications and PR role — you’ll help bring our narrative to life, own our day-to-day media presence, and make sure journalists, analysts, and industry voices are telling our story accurately and compellingly.
You’ll be our first and only dedicated communications person, working directly with the founders to build our external visibility, thought leadership, and earned media presence from the ground up.
Own day-to-day PR and communications execution, including media relations, crisis communications, executive thought leadership, and brand narrative, in close partnership with the founders
Build and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, editors, and analysts across tech, robotics, and AI media, acting as our primary point of contact for press
Define and execute a 12-month marketing and communications roadmap in close partnership with the founders, keeping it aligned with the company’s longer-term vision
Act as a hands‑on communications advisor to the founders on brand positioning, media sentiment, and competitor narrative
Shape internal communications to help keep our brand voice consistent and strong across all channels
Own the communications budget with a clear focus on earned media ROI and measurable brand visibility
Navigate high-stakes communications moments, including funding announcements, product launches, and expansion into new global markets, with clarity and confidence
Identify where external support (agencies, freelancers, or future hires) can extend your impact as the company and function grow
10+ years of experience in PR & Communications, with significant time spent in media-facing roles
An existing, active network of relationships with tech, robotics, AI, or deep-tech media
Proven track record of securing high-impact media coverage and shaping brand narrative in competitive or emerging technology categories
Comfortable operating as a sole contributor and owning the communications function end-to-end, with the ambition to grow it (and a team) over time
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate long‑term vision into executable communications plans
Experience handling complex or high-stakes brand perception challenges, including crisis communications
Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills, with the ability to align founders, product, and commercial teams around a unified message
Experience supporting category creation, brand repositioning, or launching an emerging technology to a mainstream audience
Competitive compensation package
Various employee subsidies and perks, including public transportation and Wellpass
Work with a world‑class team in a flat hierarchy, with direct collaboration alongside the founders and engineering team
Fast growth potential in a rapidly evolving company and industry
International office environment with English as the official working language
