Senior Underwriter DACH

As a Senior Underwriter in the MB52 department, you will shape an international reinsurance portfolio and drive sustainable profitability. You will work closely with cross-border colleagues to assess risk, price, and structure treaties for German cedants and other markets, while developing strong client relationships at decision-maker level. You contribute to underwriting strategy and portfolio development, leveraging market insight and analytical rigor. • Own end-to-end underwriting process from risk assessment to contract negotiations
• Develop and tailor reinsurance solutions with profitability and capital efficiency in mind
• Manage and grow relationships with cedants and brokers at decision-maker level
• Analyze portfolios, markets, and competition to support sound decisions
• Contribute to underwriting strategy and development of the team
• Provide professional support and development opportunities for colleagues
• Build and maintain an international client network

• Degree in business administration, (business) mathematics, law or a comparable qualification
• Several years of (re)insurance experience, ideally in underwriting
• Experience in independently managing portfolios and international client relationships
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment, pricing and contract structuring
• Business-fluent in German and English
