Silicon Test & validation Engineer (CONTRACT)

In this role you will lead the development and transfer of optical metrology test programs from R&D to mass production, ensuring accurate data and robust performance metrics. You will collaborate with engineering teams to define metrics and build hardware and software solutions for optical modules and displays. Expect hands-on metrology work, data analysis to drive yield improvements, and exploration of new metrology technologies, with travel up to 30%. • ATE test program development and release, calibration and cross-site data correlation, data analysis and yield improvement, scripting and automation
• Lead full cycle of tester development against engineering requirement specifications
• Transfer metrology technologies from R&D to mass production
• Tester alignment and calibration procedures to ensure accurate data
• Collaborate with engineering design teams to refine performance metric definitions
• Define, design and develop optical metrology solutions including hardware, software, and instrument qualification
• Develop benchtop and production instrumentation to characterize complex optical modules and integrated systems
• Collect and perform statistical analysis on metrology data to correlate to performance metrics
• Explore novel optical metrology technologies and work with suppliers on prototype development
• Up to 30% domestic and international travel

• BS degree in Optical Engineering, Physics or related technical discipline with 2+ years of experience or Advanced Degree in Optical Engineering, Physics
• Hands-on experience in optical metrology development from concept to system validation
• In-depth knowledge of imaging optics, image quality metrics, optical metrology and characterization
• Experience in test automation (instrument control, data collection and analysis) using LabView, Matlab or Python
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis using Minitab or JMP
• Professional level proficiency in English
• Proficient communication and presentation skills
• VLSI Board Design (mandatory)
