Role Overview
This is a field-based role requiring regular engagement with clinical research sites and external partners. As a Site Engagement Leader, you will be accountable for developing, managing and overseeing long-term, strategic relationships with clinical research sites and institutions. You will act as a key interface between GSK and external partners, enhancing our reputation and helping to create an optimal clinical trials environment to deliver high-quality results in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of the Partnership Engagement and Excellence in Research known as the “PEER Site Network”, acting as the main point of contact between GSK and external sites, identifying and engaging institutions to build local, national and international partnerships.
- Lead the development and expansion of strategic site relationships across academic, community and emerging site models, strengthening GSK’s network to support delivery of the R&D portfolio and improve study placement and recruitment.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with investigators, research coordinators and site leadership, while providing regular feedback to internal stakeholders on partnership performance and opportunities.
- Drive performance across sites by setting KPI targets, conducting regular performance reviews, tracking action plans, and delivering on-site operational support to address challenges and improve study cycle times and enrolment.
- Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks and quality or compliance issues at study and site level, working cross-functionally to develop and implement mitigation and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Medical and Feasibility teams to optimise site selection, activation and study delivery, while supporting adoption of digital solutions and contributing to continuous improvement and innovative ways of working.
Basic Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in a scientific or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Multiple years of experience in clinical research operations and study delivery.
- German (minimum C1 level) and English language proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Proficient knowledge of the drug development process and clinical study lifecycle.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build strategic site relationships.
- Experience establishing and growing partnerships with research sites or institutions.
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive performance improvements.
- Knowledge or interest in digital and innovative clinical trial solutions.
- Ability to anticipate challenges and proactively implement solutions in a complex environment.
Compensation and Benefits
Germany Salary Range – EUR 85,500 to EUR 142,500 annual gross base salary for new hires. The role may also offer an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in a share-based long‑term incentive program. Detailed benefit information will be supplied during the recruitment process.
