At our location in Darmstadt we are currently looking for a Software Engineer, Staff Platform (m/f/d) to take a senior technical expert role in the development, evolution and technical safeguarding of complex embedded software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical focal point for software platform topics, including responsibility for technical reviews and software-related release decisions
• Representation of software platform architectures and solutions towards internal and external stakeholders
• Subject matter expert role for complex software and platform-related topics, applying holistic solution approaches
• Responsibility for the development, evolution and safeguarding of embedded software platforms, including system integration aspects
• Contribution to product development projects and change management activities, including technical impact assessment and coordination of software changes
• Development, implementation and continuous improvement of software-related processes, methods and standards
• Execution of complex analysis and derivation of corrective measures with system-level impact
• Coordination and alignment with cross-functional and international development teams along the entire software lifecycle
• Preparation, documentation and communication of software platform concepts, results and technical recommendations to relevant stakeholders

Your profile

• Masters degree in computer science, software engineering or a comparable technical field, or equivalent qualification with strong software expertise
• Extensive professional experience in embedded software development for complex systems in an automotive or comparable environment
• Strong expertise in embedded C software development, ideally in platform or product-line architectures
• Experience in software platform development M ulti Pack Controller and multi-product environment
• Background in coordinating complex software topics and technical interfaces
• High level of autonomy and technical accountability in complex development environments
• Proven ability to solve novel and complex problems, developing robust and scalable solutions
• Excellent communication skills and experience in functional leadership and coordination of interdisciplinary teams
