Overview

In this role you will support PDC-based inspection tools, focusing on software troubleshooting, installation, testing, and customer training. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to diagnose root causes, validate solutions, and ensure smooth software deployments for manufacturing tools. The position blends technical problem-solving with customer engagement and knowledge transfer. You will travel up to 50% to customer sites and headquarters to support global installations.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Software System Troubleshooting: analyze problems, craft troubleshooting plans, and accelerate resolution for systemic issues (Microsoft Server / Network Topology / Applications)
Software Installation & Imaging: install/configure software and images for various product stages and high-volume tooling environments, document procedures
Software Test & Validation: develop tests and simulators, run test plans, validate software releases
Create, test, and verify installation/upgrade instructions for product releases
Research and resolve internal/external application and systems issues; investigate high-value customer problems and systemic software failures
Customer Engagement & Training: build trust, advise on Factory Automation scenarios, provide ongoing training to customers and customer engineers
Assist in analysis of OS performance, integration, and database management issues; deliver updates to management and peers

Zentrale Anforderungen

Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation or related
2-4 years in software testing, test cases, documentation, and network technology (preferred)
Strong English communication skills; German beneficial
Team player with ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Willingness to travel up to 50% within Europe and to the US headquarters
