Role Description

The Solids Control Engineer is focused on operating, and optimizing solids control systems on drilling and production sites. In this role, you monitor and adjust equipment settings to maintain efficient separation of solids from drilling fluids, ensuring system performance and regulatory compliance. You perform routine inspections, diagnose issues, and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and enhance operational reliability. The position involves collaborating with office and engineering staff to implement process improvements. You will also prepare technical reports, contribute to project documentation, and support training efforts related to solids control technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Process Control to monitor, adjust, and optimize Solids Control operations and related systems.
  • Knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles to support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of solids control equipment and associated electrical components.
  • Hands-on Troubleshooting capabilities to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Relevant engineering degree or technical diploma (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or Petroleum Engineering) or equivalent practical experience in drilling or solids control operations.
  • Familiarity with drilling fluids, solids separation principles, and oilfield safety standards and practices.
  • Ability to work on/offshore, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate technical information clearly in spoken and written German & English.
  • Willingness to follow strict safety procedures, participate in training, and adapt to evolving technologies and operational requirements.
