Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect / Solution Architect with deep expertise in Android Automotive IVI HMI Applications. The candidate will be responsible for requirement analysis, solution design, implementation support, code/design reviews, and providing alternative solutions for multiple IVI features such as Tuner, Media, Bluetooth, Phone, ECall, Voice Assistant, Projection, and more. Strong knowledge of Android HMI Applications, Android Framework, and modern Android development practices is essential.

Skills & Requirements

C1/C2 proficiency in German and English.

11–15+ years of experience in In‑Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) HMI Application development for Android.

(Good to have) 6+ years of experience in Android Automotive IVI Application development.

(Must have) Hands‑on experience with Modern Android Development:

• Jetpack Components (Android KTX, AppCompat, LiveData, Room, Paging, Data Binding, ViewModel, Jetpack Compose)
• Kotlin programming language
• Strong hands‑on experience with Java/Kotlin, UML, design concepts, modeling tools, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Experience with unit/integration test tools: JUnit, Espresso, Mockito, PMD.
• Knowledge of Android build systems, AOSP platform architecture, and Android Framework.
• Strong understanding of responsive UI/HMI development using Android Framework.
• Experience working in production programs and agile cross‑functional environments.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers effectively.
