Overview

In this role you will drive VAT compliance across Deutsche Börse Group entities in Europe and APAC, acting as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders. You will lead process improvements, support strategic tax initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable growth while staying ahead of regulatory changes. You’ll work within Group Tax to ensure accurate filings, coordinate audits, and enhance VAT-related processes and tools. This position offers international exposure and a chance to shape tax processes in a dynamic environment.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Prepare and review VAT filings in line with national legislation for entities in Europe and APAC
Work with SAP landscape on VAT matters
Support month-end and year-end closing processes
Coordinate tax audits and inquiries
Handle complex VAT-related issues across the organization
Enhance VAT-related processes and compliance tools
Collaborate with Accounting, Legal, IT and external advisors
Stay updated on tax law changes and advise on impact
Contribute to knowledge sharing within the tax function and with stakeholders

Zentrale Anforderungen

More than 5 years of professional experience in VAT compliance within the financial services industry
University degree in business administration with focus on taxation or finance; certified tax advisor (qualification)
Expertise in ERP systems, especially SAP S/4HANA and SAP SD
Strategic mindset with strong analytical and proactive problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills in German and English
