Sr. Engineer II - Sensors Team (Remote)

CrowdStrike Falcon Host is a two‑component security product. One component is a sensor driver installed on client machines that observes system activity, recognizes malicious behavior, and provides on‑box prevention capability and remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. The cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry for each customer’s network and can correlate malicious behavior across multiple machines, presenting a prioritized summary of the threats to customer operations teams.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer on the sensor development team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and owning major components of the endpoint sensor, which deploys on Windows, Mac, and Linux. You will lead projects, architect solutions, support core feature implementation, and ensure high standards of design, coding quality, unit and component testing. The role involves cross‑platform work and collaboration with multi‑functional teams across remote locations.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with the Windows kernel mode sensor team in architecture, strategy, and building next‑generation anti‑virus and detection & response capabilities.
• Develop new product concepts.
• Support development teams in designing and building cross‑platform software deliverables (Windows, Mac, Linux).
• Own features from design to delivery, including participation in product demos at the sprint end.
• Collaborate with multi‑functional teams in various locations.

What You’ll Need

• In‑depth knowledge of C++ and Windows OS kernel development.
• Strong low‑level OS internals expertise in Windows, macOS, or Linux.
• Experience debugging memory corruptions, process contentions, and system performance issues.
• Experience shipping major features and releases with teams.
• Leadership, mentoring, communication, and collaboration skills in a distributed team.

Preferred Requirements

• Expertise in core OS subsystem concepts such as WFP, TCP/IP, USB, and file systems.
• Security background.
• Strong background in scalable, lightweight, high‑performance systems.
• Familiarity with Agile processes.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git.
