Staff Frontend Engineer (TypeScript, React)

Role overview

Staff Frontend Engineer position focused on building new functionality for a data-lake security product line that processes several petabytes of data daily. The role blends hands-on software development with technical leadership, shaping how security teams hunt threats and build threat intelligence solutions on the platform. It is a senior, product-oriented engineering seat with significant influence over roadmap and architectural direction.

Responsibilities

• Spend roughly 70-80% of the time on hands-on software development in TypeScript and React
• Draft and review technical specifications, partnering with product management to refine scope and priorities
• Improve quality, stability, and security across the team's full codebase
• Conduct code reviews and mentor teammates through pairing, problem-solving, and constructive feedback
• Participate in daily standups and collaborate with distributed teams across multiple time zones
• Contribute to architectural decisions for new AI-driven capabilities and large-scale performance/cost objectives

Requirements

• Strong proficiency building production applications in TypeScript and React
• Working knowledge of GraphQL and REST APIs
• Demonstrated technical leadership, including shaping engineering best practices and driving adoption
• Excellent communication skills with frequent cross-team interaction between product and engineering
• Ability to quickly learn new products and understand their internals
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and workflows

Nice to have

• Experience working on data-intensive or analytics-heavy products
• Background building security, threat intelligence, or developer-facing tooling
• Comfort collaborating across hybrid and remote team setups
