Staff Product Designer

As a Staff Product Designer at Deel, you shape the future of our products and design systems in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment. You lead end-to-end design initiatives across multiple projects, collaborating with product, engineering, and business partners to deliver cohesive experiences. You mentor designers, drive design excellence, and champion AI-powered features to solve complex problems. • Define and deliver product design across multiple initiatives aligned with user needs and business goals
• Lead end-to-end features and services that resonate with users
• Champion the Deel UI/Design System strategy and drive adoption
• Design, prototype, and test features rapidly, balancing business needs and user value
• Mentor Product Designers and lead design practice rituals to raise team quality
• Identify bottlenecks with product and engineering teams and implement process improvements
• Navigate ambiguity to deliver clear, actionable design insights and outcomes
• Communicate a compelling design vision and facilitate cross-team collaboration

• Minimum 5-7 years as a Product Designer in a fast-paced environment
• At least 2 years in a Staff Product Designer role or equivalent
• Strong UI, UX, and visual design skills with a track record of delightful customer experiences
• Portfolio showing AI-powered features, AI-assisted workflows, or AI tool experiments
• Data-informed design approach grounded in ideation, experimentation, and evidence
• Ability to work through complex flows and storytelling through visuals and prototypes
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills; strong cross-functional collaboration
• Experience mentoring Product Designers and developing team standards
• Embedded in development teams with a light PM touch to deliver quality outcomes
• Industry knowledge of Payroll and Fintech
