Strategic Buyer, German-speaking

• Design and implement a category sourcing strategy for EPC and BOP services across the company’s energy storage project pipeline.
• Lead all phases of the sourcing lifecycle: identify requirements, align stakeholders, benchmark suppliers, define specifications, develop supply strategy/method and RFx, execute the sourcing process, and formalize contract agreements.
• Capture Fluence Engineering team requirements for the construction of BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) sites.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Project Management, Sales, Legal) to deliver comprehensive and successful sourcing tenders.
• Establish and manage relationships with external construction suppliers for BESS civil and electrical works, including civil construction and concrete foundations, electrical equipment and installation, and HV transformers.
• Lead the design and execution of detailed RFQs (Request for Quotations) for projects in the region.

Requirements

• Proven experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and category management, preferably within the energy or construction sectors (civil/electrical).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Specialized training or experience in Procurement, Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management.
• Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).
