Structural Engineer

For a client in the industrial plant engineering (Anlagenbau) sector, we are currently looking for an experienced *FREELANCE* Structural Engineer / Civil Engineer (Tragwerksplaner / Bauingenieur) to support ongoing energy and infrastructure projects.

Your Responsibilities

• Preparation of load tables (Lastangaben) for equipment and bill of quantities for steel and concrete structures
• Coordination and review of externally produced steel and civil engineering designs , including structural calculations
• Interface management with external engineering offices, including quality, cost, and schedule tracking
• Review and optimisation of steel and reinforced concrete structural designs , including preliminary sizing
• Checking of structural engineering work, particularly RSTAB 5 steel structures
• Preparation of tender documents and technical evaluation of external offers
• Support in risk management and providing technical guidance during project execution and construction phases
• Supporting project delivery and, where required, sales activities

Your Profile

• Several years of experience in industrial plant engineering / Anlagenbau
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering tools (e.g. RSTAB, AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar)
• Experience in areas such as site development, foundations, steel structures, and infrastructure planning
• Solid experience in project coordination and engineering management
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple stakeholders
• English (German is a +)
• Willingness to travel to project sites when required
• Confident user of MS Office (SAP knowledge is an advantage)
• Location: NRW, Germany
• Working model: Hybrid (approx. 2 days on site per week)
• Working hours: 35 hours/week (Mon–Thurs 7.5h, Fri 6h)
