Subsystems Engineer (m/f/d) – Data Handling Systems

OHB’s spacecraft observe the Earth, relay valuable data, study the solar system, and much, much more. The avionics engineering department works at the core of each spacecraft: we make sure the spacecraft remains under control, all science data is collected, and that on‑board failures are automatically recovered – because in space there is no repair shop. As Subsystems Engineer (m/f/d) – Data handling you have the opportunity to work in a dedicated and motivated team to design and implement the data handling subsystem and its components.

Your Tasks

• Design and specification of the data handling subsystem
• Evaluation of technical proposals from suppliers
• Technical officer guiding the unit procurements throughout the lifecycle (from conception, through design and implementation phases, until unit‑level verification)
• Data handling subsystem integration into the spacecraft
• Unit‑and subsystem verification

Your Qualifications

• A degree in engineering with a major in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or a compatible qualification
• Self‑managed, proactive and solution‑oriented working style
• Ability to work in a multi‑cultural team
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Fluency in German is desired (language skills can be improved through company‑facilitated trainings)
