Supplier Quality / Development Engineer (NPI) for Drilling Processes (m/f/d)

A Snapshot of Your Day 


You manage and qualify supplier processes for coating, drilling, and assembly of gas turbine components, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets are met. Acting as the technical interface between engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers, you drive process development, analyze data to identify improvements, and support issue resolution. Over time, you take on larger projects and collaborate internationally in English-speaking environments.


How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Drive decarbonization by improving efficiency of gas turbine components
  • Manage product & process qualifications (PPQ) and serial production at suppliers
  • Lead NPI projects, track milestones, and mitigate risks and delays
  • Improve supplier performance using data-driven process optimization
  • Reduce non-conformance costs as well as lead time and cost at suppliers
  • Contribute to technology roadmaps and feasibility studies for new drilling processes

What You Bring

  • Degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, process engineering, or similar
  • Longterm experience in drilling technologies (e.g., laser, FHEDM)
  • Knowledge of coatings, thermal spraying, welding, brazing, and supplier management
  • Project management experience
  • Experience working in cross-functional and international environments
  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and 

decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, 

steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, 

modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
